The publishing house was founded in 1868, in conjunction with Druckerei Berger, the printing side of the business. Initially, our publishing activities extended to regional newspapers and printed works.
However, from 1920 onwards, the publishing house’s management team increased the activities in the scientific sector, also bringing important new areas of focus to the publishing programme with the inclusion of publications from the fields of history, fiction, poetry and specialist literature.
Today, the Ferdinand Berger publishing house has connections throughout Europe and brings out many new titles every year.
